8 fluorescent tube lights plugged into a standard USB keyboard display ascii in binary as you type.
This piece can be understood as a really broken computer monitor. Or as the most simple possible computer monitor. Instead of human language, the display shows computer language that is enlarged in scale and intensity and is difficult for most humans to read.
At this terminal, where human language is truncated at the point of computer language and computer language is magnified to human scale. Conversation and the subjectivity of language vanishes. This is left.
