25 exposures (1-4 hours) of a single LED light source. Each image in this series is taken with a custom pinhole camera that directly exposes photographic paper.
These images document my effort to simplify the complexities of photography as a way to make subtle gestures.

Is it possible to gesture within the language of photography?
Is it possible to just photograph light?
The constraints of a technological medium are highly significant and should not be overlooked. Exposure time is contingent on the technology of the photographic medium.
There is also an implicit spatial delineation between the interior and exterior of the camera. These technological impositions are highly significant and arbitrary in relationship to an artistic vision.
It is difficult to gesture. It is difficult to say small things.
